Hi there,
I've problems with my AV Receiver "Onkyo TX-SR608". First I tried most every Onkyo-Codes in all lists– nothing works. I tried to learn all buttons from my old remote. No result. The "re" says learning was fine – but it was'nt.
Any chance that the Onkyo AV-Receiver code can be added?

Best regards,

Hi,
Have you tried the custom codes Onkyo, Audio Receiver, 1531-1 and 1531-2. You have to be connected to the internet to load the codes. They were built for the Onkyo 605 and 607.

Learning should also work. Make sure the batteries are new, and be sure that the diodes line up and are no more than 1 inch apart. Try pressing and releasing the remote button during learn if holding it down gives bat results (learn says it passes, but didn't learn).

Send me an email on support if this doesn't work, and we'll take it from there.

I've got the same problem with the Onkyo TX-SR508 and agree that the 1531-2 remote layout is correct for this device too. However the codes behind the selection are invalid and incorrect.

Could you not fix the 1531-2 selection so that the codes match the ONKYO RC-764M and then we would not need to "Learn" 56 buttons? In my house that means 448 buttons for the 4 'iPad/Phone/Pod' devices we use.

I believe we have tracked down the codes for the RC-764M and will add it to the database. PS you don't have to learn the buttons on each of your iOS devices. Use Bump to copy the settings instantly from device to device.

Thanks for the response and advice, I certainly appreciate the service. Any idea when the update will be applied/distributed? Days/weeks/months?

The new code is now available. Load it as Onkyo, Audio Receiver, 1532-1.

This 1532-1 device code also works well with Onkyo TX-SR705 audio receiver.

Great job getting this device code setup. Thanks.
