Are you working on an iPad native app? This would let you compete with the big table top remotes. I'm looking forward to the 'big screen'.
iF and when will we see this?

We are working on an iPad App. We haven't fixed a schedule to release it yet. Once we get the next release done which has some great new features, we'll schedule the next round of product releases.

We're supporting the iPad full screen and resolution in our soon to be released V2.0 (End of August). You will be able to have a remote up to 13 button rows high visible on the iPad. The App supports iPad, iPhone including iPhone 4 full resolution, and all iPod touches. Setups can be shared between any of the devices. We'll talk about the other new features soon.

Hi, I'm really happy with the iPad support, however, I was wondering if you were going to let the whole screen be used instead of only 4-5 buttons wide. Still a great product but would be so much better with the full screen instead of a third.

Thanks, I'm glad you like the iPad screens support. We wanted to keep the display size constant so our setups would remain transportable between all devices. We'll look at other ways to take advantage of the iPad screen in future releases.

Ditto on the desire for better use of the width of the screen. You could also put two remotes up side by side, but the ability to design within the full screen width for a single remote or activity would do away with the need to scroll. The current mimicking of a traditional candy bar hardware remote doesn't give the great user experience that users are coming to expect.

Wouldn't it be possible to include wide screen setups in the iphone/touch screens as simple side scrolling? Obviously for those of us with iPad use, we would utilize a primary room for full screen and create secondary room for iphone use. The design area could request a selection of iPad screen or iPhone/touch for a default template to load with side-scrolling or not.

I understand keeping the 4 button width to get us a native app so quickly. It is a bit unnatural though to swipe only in the middle of the screen to change remotes. Would it be too difficult to add large left and right page buttons in the unused space? and/or make the whole screen swipe-able much like the ebook readers?
Not a personal request because i will normally be using the Re with my iphone anyway.

I will be using this on my ipad only (I have 2 ipods); I personally will only be using the device screens and not the activity/favourite screens. I would like to see more utilisation of the ipad screen. Personally I would prefer to use the spare area for features other than buttons; my initial design allows me to have all the buttons I need for a single device in one screen of 52 buttons (4 x 13).
Some suggestions for utilising the spare space are.
1) toggle button to turn top/bottom menus on/off; edit on/off; I will normally use the system with the menus off (full screen mode)
2) icon menu system to jump directly to an activity; a device; the room; the configuration pages etc. instead of using the scroll/menu feature.

Full-screen iPad remotes would be nice, but a much more pressing need is landscape support. I was excited to try Re on my iPad so I wouldn't have to keep taking the device on and off my iPod Touch, but was quite disappointed that it didn't work in the landscape-oriented stand I use in the living room. I guess I can rotate my head sideways when I want to adjust the TV volume, but landscape support would be much better!

Here are some ideas by me for a user interface on the iPad using landscape.
I am not sure if all this can be done on IOS but I saw a couple of features already on other remote apps.
Now here is the link to my ideas:
