Okay, one more idea to throw out there. What about a IR emitter that communicates via WiFi to the device (iPhone, iPad, etc.) and then sends a IR signal out? That way you could place the IR emitter anywhere in the room and just link to the emitter and keep your device powered. Another idea is a emitter in the device with a port for charging.

I love your device and software. So far I have configured all my remotes and now I am doing macros and favorites.
