Recently, and all of a sudden, whenever the app goes to the background when I answer a text or call, etc, when i switch back to the app, it doesnt recognize that the unit is plugged into the iphone. i have to remove the unit itself and plug it back in before the app will function properly.
Is this being address with an update or has any other user reported this issue?
Thanks
Hi,
We have had some reports of this or similar cases where the Accessory communications are lost, but we cannot reliably reproduce it. What iOS version are you running? Do you get a message? If so what message? Or does the App just not function without a re-plug of the accessory? There have been many issues with this type of problem discussed on Apple forums even w/o accessories installed where the "airplane mode" or "Accessory not optimized for this Phone" message appears. There maybe a fix coming in iOS4.1. Meantime, try rebooting your phone by pressing and holding the sleep/wake and home buttons for about 10 seconds until the phone turns off completely. This problem has been fixed in the past by this restart, and Macworld has reported this fix for “Freezes and crashes are generic iPhone problems that can occur in any iPhone software, from Safari to Maps."
