I learned the hard way to save with an email or a bump. While editing my activities, I crashes 4-5 times. Each time, my changes were lost. The first time this happened, it was all my work and I lost everything. After I learned to save often, I had to bump back to regain my last saved changes. Annoying! Any progress on reducing crashes? I do recall it also happened as I began to email all my activities.

I just lost an hour or so's work after a crash. But the work I had prior to that hour or so was still there. So it seems that there is a point at which settings are saved. When is that? Is it when I close the app by hitting the home button (for example)?

Hi,
Sorry that the Re app crashed. The current version, 3.1, saves when leaving the app (press the home button) start another app or the device hibernates. The next version, which is in Apple review, will also save whenever you leave any edit mode.
Best Regards,

Thanks for that. But I've just fallen into a far worse trap.
I had developed a new remote starting from an unlisted device. I wanted to change the particulars for the remote listed in the room entry. I think I inadvertently changed the "brand" or "type". Now I've lost the whole of the new remote. There's nothing there but a blank device without any buttons.
Peter.

This seems to be associated with the problem that once I've created a new remote, I can not access it in any other rooms. If I could add my new remote to the database locally, that would fix the problem.

Blast! I just went back and re-read the manual. In big read letters it warns you that this will happen. Even so, it's not a very friendly user interface that lets you do this
